I had this as my master HD but it kept on making a loud whistling noise and everything would stop for the duration of the noise. I changed it to my slave and my OS doesn't halt anymore but I am using a far older HD. I tried to contact samsung and dabs but neither seemed to have costumer support only returns stuff. Do you think I should just return It (with all the bother of getting everything off of it!) or what?

yea return it, and get everything off it asap, it about to explode!
